Kids / Teens

Like everyone else, your child or teenager may encounter difficulties in his or her daily life. Hypnosis can help them overcome these difficulties and provide them with useful tools for the rest of their lives. As a result, he or she will be able to grow into a well-rounded adult.

Methods differ according to the child's age. In all cases, a flexible, caring approach is favored. Tools and methods are chosen to suit the child's age, needs and problems. This may be through play, storytelling or drawing for a young child, or in a more "classic" format for a teenager.

Examples of issues addressed

  • Enuresis (bedwetting)
  • Phobia (academic, social, etc.)
  • Stress and anxiety (exams, school or family environment, etc.)
  • Attention deficit disorder (with or without hyperactivity)
  • Blockades
  • Self-confidence and self-esteem
SET UP A MEETING

Session and follow-up

  • At least one parent must be present, at least for the discussion at the start of the session.
  • The work is done with the child, but within the family context.
  • Children have a shorter attention span than adults. Sessions therefore last less time (around 1.5 hours for the first session; between 45 minutes and 1 hour for subsequent sessions if required).
  • Children are more receptive to hypnosis, thanks to their great powers of imagination. As a result, the work is done more quickly, and results can be seen more quickly.

  • By entering an altered state of consciousness, connected and attuned to their deepest needs, children will take whatever is good for them to initiate the desired change.
  • Changes can be integrated very quickly, as their behavior has not yet been anchored for many years, unlike that of adults.
  • Sometimes, when it's useful, parent and child come away from the session with exercises to practice together at home.
